Spark Gap is discharge component which uses cold cathode gaseous discharge principle, which does not need to heat up electrical source, no warm-up time, brief application circuitry, small size and firm, easier installation, width working temperature and voltage range, quick pulse rising time such advantages. 2. Basic Structure of Spark Gap
Spark Gap uses ceramic -metal envelope, which has cathode, anode and trigger pole. The cathode and the anode are called border electrode and relative electrode, both are main electrode. The gap between the main electrode is called main gap, the gap of the cathode and the trigger pole is called trigger gap. The surface of the cathode and the anode has a sphere of certain curvature radial. It uses the structure of axe symmetry, trigger pole is in the center of cathode, two ends of the tube use ceramic-metal seal, the electrode material uses special metal material of withstanding high temperature and spray.

3. Working Principle of Spark Gap
